Jane was co-opted by the Parish Council on 1st April 2021. She was educated at Kibworth High School in 1967-1971, the school at the time is now where Elliot Close is. Jane is a former Cub Scout Leader with the Market Harborough District and did this for 10 years and a retired lunchtime supervisor which she did for 23 years with LCC. Jane now spends walking her grandson daily to Kibworth Primary School and working part-time at No 56 coffee house in the village.

One of her proudest moments was when she watched her Mum receive the Maunday Money purse from HM The Queen at Leicester Cathedral
