Parish council flag in Jubilee Green at half-mast
Following the sad death of HRH the Duke of Edinburgh on 9th April and out of respect for the whole Royal family, the union flag in Jubilee Green was lowered to half mast.

Community Governance Review outcome
Harborough District Council has completed a Community Governance Review under the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007. A Community Governance Review every six or seven years enables them to look at and make changes where necessary to local parish governance arrangements.

Dog theft - advice from Leicestershire Police
We are experiencing an increase in dog theft reports and are asking the public to be wary of this new wave of crime across the county.
The demand for puppies has increased as people have been working from home and other social distractions are limited. This demand has created a surge in puppy thefts, as the price of dogs has almost doubled in some cases.

New bench installed on Church Road
Today a new bench has been unpacked and installed. It is a new VE/VJ 75th anniversary commemorative bench on Church Road. This bench was funded by money granted to the two Kibworth Parish Councils by Harborough District Council to celebrate VE Day. Litter picking around the two Kibworths
Although there are many litter bins spread across both Kibworth parishes, still people report litter over our parks and play areas.
The two parishes are pleased to be able to borrow litter picking kits. We would like to help organise litter picking sessions and ask any potential volunteers to please email deputyclerk@kbpc.org.uk.

Kibworth Tip now re-opened
The Kibworth Recycling and Household Waste site (the Kibworth tip) on the A6 has re-opened! The tip re-opened on Monday 3 August. Kibworths Play Areas re-opened
Since Saturday 4th July our play areas (Jubilee Green, Polwell Road, Smeeton Road Rec) have re-opened in accordance with the government guidelines. Warwick Park play area has been having new fencing, gates and benches fitted and also re-opened on Thursday 9th July.

Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) opening soon
Tarmac is being laid for the new MUGA on Warwick Park. This will take another 2 weeks to harden and set. During this time it is imperative that it is not walked on, played on or cycled on so the site remains fenced off. Once the tarmac is ready, line markings will then be added. This will be a fantastic facility for the community and all age groups

Empty nitrous oxide canisters have been found
in several locations around the Kibworths, including Birds Barn.
Nitrous oxide also known as 'laughing gas' is a
psychoactive drug and although it seems
harmless can have a very damaging effect on
your health. The police are appealing, particularly to
young people, to consider the potentially life-changing
